NPJuly4Navy Pier Advisory for Fourth of July Celebration

Please be aware that Navy Pier will host the only free and public fireworks celebration in Chicago for Fourth of July.

Officials from Navy Pier have instituted several reforms to better manage crowd flow this year: by inspecting backpacks as patrons enter the Pier, installing additional off-site parking, offering free trolley service, and providing updates on their website and media outlets once Navy Pier has reached capacity.

The Chicago Police Department and the Office of Emergency Management and Communications will be on scene to manage traffic. The Chicago Transit Authority has also planned additional bus service.
