Street Closures:
The lighting procession will step-off this year at 5:30 pm from Oak & Michigan.
The following MAIN STREET CLOSURES will take place as early as 3:30 pm – 8 pm on Saturday, November 22:
- Oak Street (State to Michigan Avenue)
- North Michigan Avenue (Oak to Wacker)
- Upper Wacker Drive (Michigan Avenue to east turnaround)
The following ADDITIONAL STREET CLOSURES will take effect at different times:
Closed from 7 am – 7 pm on Saturday, November 22
- Upper Illinois Street (Michigan Avenue east to Hotel Inter-Continental side entrance)
Closed from 8 am – 6 pm on Saturday, November 22
- Clark Street (East curb lane only Oak to Delaware)
- Delaware Street (Dearborn to Clark north curb lane only)
- Oak Street (Clark to State)
- Dearborn Street (Delaware to Maple)
- Walton Street (State to Clark)
Closed from 4:30 pm – 11 pm on Saturday, November 22
- Columbus Drive (Curb lanes from Wacker to Randolph, with full closure from 6 pm to 8 pm)
Schedule of Events:
All musical performances will take place on the BMO Harris Bank Stage, located at Pioneer Court, 401 N. Michigan Avenue. The festival schedule is as follows:
- 11:00 am: Light Festival Lane
- 11:00 am: Justin Roberts and the Not Ready for Naptime Players
- 12:15 pm: Radio Disney Road Crew
- 12:45 pm: Jacquie Lee, Powered by Radio Disney
- 1:45 pm: Nico and Vinz, Presented by Southwest Airlines
- 2:45 pm: Kendall Schmidt of Big Time Rush & Heffron Drive
- 5:30 pm – 7:00pm: Tree Lighting Parade procession with floats, giant helium-filled balloons, marching bands and classic Walt Disney characters who lead the illumination of more than one million lights on The Magnificent Mile – North Michigan Avenue from Oak Street to Wacker Drive
- 6:55 pm: Fireworks Spectacular over the Chicago River at Michigan Avenue as the grand finale to the lighting procession

Chicago is home to the nation’s largest evening holiday celebration; the BMO Harris Bank Magnificent Mile Lights Festival. Held Saturday, November 22, this year’s event will jump start the holiday season with a full day of family friendly activities, live music concerts and holiday shopping.
This beloved holiday tradition features a grand evening parade down North Michigan Avenue led by Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse from the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. The parade concludes with a grand finale fireworks show over the Chicago River, requiring 10,000 firework shells to create the spectacular display.
