Calling All Cabrini Neighbors – Community Conversation on Cabrini Now – Dec 11th

Good afternoon – we have an exciting invitation for you!
We are thrilled to invite you to our third and final community event planned for Cabrini NOW! Together with residents and other stakeholders, we’ve created a draft redevelopment plan for CHA-owned land in the Cabrini area through the Cabrini NOW process. The purpose of the event is to share and get input from community members on the draft redevelopment plan, in addition to sharing what happens next in the Cabrini NOW process and after.
The event will take place on Wednesday, December 11 from 5-7pm at the St Matthew United Methodist Church (1000 N Orleans St). Please see attached or below for the event flyer. It will be a family friendly event that will provide seating, hot chocolate, cookies, and other snacks and beverages for attendees in a wheelchair-accessible space with restrooms. Some street parking is available, but most of it is metered or permit only.
We will share an engagement summary from our July 31 community event soon – please stay tuned for updates from us on that. We will provide physical copies of the engagement summary and the presentation slides at event. The video presentation from our July 31 community event is posted at bit.ly/CabriniNOWEvent2Video. For more information, please visit www.thecha.org/cabrininow
We would like to have as many community members attend the event as possible and would appreciate your help in getting the word out! We hope you will help us in sharing the event flyer and upcoming social media posts. To provide written comments for Cabrini NOW, please email us at cabrininow@thecha.org
Thank you for your time! We hope to see you on December 11!

Community Conversations – October 17 and November 7

The18th District Community Conversation event is a forum that allows community members to have their input for the 2025 18th District strategic plan. The plan is a guideline that the 18th District will use to address community  concerns regarding crime.  Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend and participate. This is a two part series.  Ideas identified in the first session are built upon in the second session.  It is ideal to register and participate on both days.  However, if you are unable to do both days, having your voice heard in one of the meetings is also beneficial.
