Update from the Illinois Department of Transportation for the Ontario Street ramps to Kennedy.
As part of the ongoing rehabilitation of the Kennedy Expressway (Interstate 90/94) from the Edens Expressway (I-94) junction to Ohio Street, the westbound Ontario Street ramps to access the outbound Kennedy closed at 11 p.m., Sunday, October 12.
To facilitate the ramp closures, starting at 11 p.m. Sunday, the westbound Ontario Street feeder ramp was fully closed from Orleans Street to the Kennedy. By 5 a.m. Monday, October 13, the Ontario Street feeder reopend for access to southbound Kennedy to the Dan Ryan Expressway only. The westbound Ontario Street ramps to access the outbound Kennedy (express and local lanes) will remain closed for approximately two weeks.
