The Wintrust Magnificent Mile Lights Festival!

Kick-off the season with a joy-filled holiday celebration Saturday, November 23.   The centerpiece is the largest nighttime parade in the United States. Led by Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse of Walt Disney World® Resort, the spectacular 2024 parade down North Michigan Avenue will feature fabulous floats with beloved characters Buzz Lightyear and Woody, Anna and Elsa, Tiana and Belle, marching bands from across the country, musical celebrities, Santa Claus, The Wintrust Fireworks Spectacular, and one million lights illuminating The Magnificent Mile’s 200+ trees.

LIGHTS FESTIVAL LANE:
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 23 FROM 11:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.

PARADE ROUTE CLOSURES BEGIN AS EARLY AS 3:00 P.M.

3:00 P.M.: DuSable Bridge (formerly Michigan Avenue Bridge) closes to pedestrian traffic.
3:00 P.M.: North Michigan Avenue closes to vehicular traffic between Oak Street and Wacker Drive.

GRAND TREE-LIGHTING PARADE:
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 23 FROM 5:30 P.M. – 7:00 P.M.
Michigan Avenue from Oak Street south to Wacker Drive
Free, family fun culminates in The Wintrust Magnificent Mile Lights Festival® tree-lighting parade down North Michigan Avenue with Grand Marshals Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse from Walt Disney World Resort® in Florida. The
parade features reimagined floats, super colossal Muppet helium balloons, marching bands from across the country, celebrities, musical performances, Santa Claus, and more, all helping to illuminate more than one million lights along The Magnificent Mile. The event draws to a grand conclusion with the Wintrust Fireworks Spectacular over the Chicago River at Michigan Avenue at 7:15 p.m.

SANTA SAILS THE SEADOG TO HARRY CARAY’S TAVERN NAVY PIER

Fresh off his appearance at The Wintrust Magnificent Mile Lights Festival, Santa will trade in his sleigh for the Seadog and sail to Navy Pier for Brunch at Harry Caray’s Tavern’s new pop-up, the Lakefront Lodge. Watch him make his grand entrance aboard the Seadog at noon as the Chicago Fire Department welcomes him into the harbor with their impressive water cannons. Upon his arrival at Navy Pier, he’ll head to Harry Caray’s, for photo ops, delicious brunch bites, and live holiday music by local musician, Isabella Maria Reyes.
