Cabrini Now Community Event

The next Cabrini NOW community event is from 4:30-6:00p.m. on July 31, 2024, at Ogden-Jenner Elementary School (1119 N. Cleveland Ave.).
The Cabrini Now Team will be gathering with community members to share takeaways from the Cabrini NOW kickoff celebration in May, discuss the first draft of planning and design options for the area, and connect with each other over ice cream. This will be a kid and family friendly event in a wheelchair accessible space with restrooms and seating. They will kick off the gathering with time to meet other community members and enjoy ice cream. This will be followed by a presentation to recap the prior community meeting and present various draft planning and design options for how to redevelop CHA-owned sites in the area. Finally, we will wrap up with small group activities to discuss preferences, tradeoffs, and improvements related to the draft options.
CHA wants to emphasize that this will be the first draft of potential options to build on vacant CHA sites in the area. These options will be refined based on the community’s input and feedback from City of Chicago departments and City agencies.
