Please be advised that unsanctioned celebrations related to Mexican Independence Day are expected to take plac Downtown neighborhoods from Friday, September 12 through Tuesday, September 16.
To manage traffic and ensure public safety, the Chicago Police Department (CPD) will implement rolling street closures to prevent car caravans from entering the Central Business District. Checkpoints will be established to allow local residents access to their buildings and parking garages. Alderman Reilly’s Office is working closely with CPD and local property managers to distribute access passes for residents.
