This year’s Parks Ball will celebrate “Growing the Next Generation of Environmental Stewards” on September 8, 2017 at Mundelein Center Auditorium, Loyola University (1020 W. Sheridan Road, Chicago, IL). The evening will begin at 5:30pm with Sustainability Tours, followed by a 6pm Cocktail Reception and and the program featuring dinner, live music, and a live auction will begin at 7:00 p.m.
As a part of our annual celebration, Friends of the Parks will honor Loyola University Chicago’s chancellor, Michael J. Garanzini, S.J. and the university’s sustainability team for Loyola’s leadership in environmental stewardship. Under Fr. Garanzini’s leadership, Loyola University has been named by the Sierra Club as the 4th greenest university in the country. In addition, the university was recognized by the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities and ecoAmerica’s higher education program, Solution Generation, as the 2016 Climate Leadership Award winner.
