Join RNRA, Friends of the Parks and the Chicago Park District in celebration of Earth Day by volunteering to help make Ward Park a cleaner, safer and more beautiful place to relax, play and enjoy nature.
Protective gloves, trash bags and tools will be provided. Children under 18 years of age are welcome but must be accompanied by a supervising adult. Registration is required.
For over 30 years, Friends of the Parks has been mobilizing neighborhoods to participate in Earth Day activities. City and suburban residents volunteer at local parks and forest preserves to practice good stewardship and celebrate community. This year’s event is a partnership with the Chicago Park District, the Forest Preserves of Cook County and Chicagoland community groups.
