On Friday May 28th, the 2021 Faith Walk started at 5:00 p.m. at the 018th District Police Station. Leading the walk was our 018th District Commander, Jill Stevens, and our 018th Distrit Faith Based Committee, co-chaired by Rev. Randall Blakey and Ms. Kjadija Warfield. The walk proceeded through the Near North Community. Despite the rain, it was a lovely evening filled with heartfelt prayer and unity.
Throughout the walk, at different points, there were prayers led by R. Blakey, Ms. Warfield and other members of the interfaith pastorial community.
Due to the heavy rain, instead of ending at A. Montgomery Ward Park, Park Community Church graciously allowed everyone to gather in their garage where prayer continued and McDonalds provided sandwiches.
