There’s something for everyone at TORN, the fest that reflects the celebrated offerings of its surroundings: spectacular cuisine and world-renowned art and design.
Revelers will enjoy two full days of great River North food, galleries, local merchants, live cutting-edge music; a kid’s and pet fun area – along with some of Chicago’s most impressive river and architectural views.

On top of a record-breaking event, this is also a great time to show our mid-west spirit by coming together with 500 of your closest friends and slapping hands…because we all deserve a HIGH FIVE.

Hours Noon to 10pm on Sat July 17th 11am to 8pm on Sun July 18th.
The event will be marketed to tens of thousands by Traffic PR and featured in festival directories, email blasts, web ads, posters, postcards and selected print media, plus at least 40 promotional spots on Jack FM!
Security, logistics and
vendor/exhibitor coordination, including assstance with city/state permit
requirements, will be handled by Ravenswood Special Events, which manages many
high-profile Chicago events including the Blues Festival, the Taste of Chicago,
the Air & Water Show, Looptopia, and the LaSalle Bank Chicago
Marathon.

If you are among the more than 200 wonderful folks who helped out at last year's event,
you know what a great experience it is. If not, you're in for a real treat!
We're accepting registrations for Gate Greeters, Beverage Servers, Info Booth Staff, Kid's Area Attendants, Management Office Staff and Utility Infielders to work various shifts each day.
Each volunteer receives free admission and food tickets, a
collectable souvenir T-shirt and a terrific thank-you gift, courtesy of Erie LaSalle Body Shop and Bull & Bear. We also provide a
choice of 2 volunteer training sessions with refreshments at Excalibur and great support during
the event!
All volunteer options are outlined in our secure and convenient online sign-up form. Please complete and submit yours as soon as possible to ensure the best choice of jobs and shifts.

General Information and Reminders
Suggested donation for Taste of River
North guests is just $5.00 per person. Proceeds support the RNRA's work in the
following areas: Responsible Development: Public Safety; Infrastructure
Improvements; Parks and Green Spaces; Public Engagement; Recreation and
Networking; and Philanthropy.
All food and beverages must be purchased
for tickets, not cash. Tickets are just $1.00 each, and will be sold in strips
of 5 for $5.00 or 10 for $10.00 only. Tickets may be purchased at booths located
on Erie west of the main gate and on Kingsbury north of the south gate. Tickets
may also be purchased at the wine and cheese concession on the river
walk.
Guests must be 21 or older to purchase or consume alcoholic
beverages. Proof of age is required and will be checked at the ticket booths,
please bring valid I/D. No one may enter or leave the festival carrying
alcoholic beverages.
Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
at all times.
Pursuant to standard Park District policy, dogs are not
allowed in the south part of Erie Park and must be leashed in all other public
areas except inside of the fenced Dog Friendly Area.
Anyone behaving in
an unruly, disruptive or inappropriate manner will be asked by Security to
leave.
We want Taste of River North to be as "green" as possible, so
please consider walking, biking or taking public transportation to the event. If
you must drive, free parking will be available during the event in the Mid-City Parking lot located on the north side of Chicago Avenue, just west of the
Chicago River. Map.
Street parking will be prohibited on Erie west of
Kingsbury, on Larrabee south of Huron and on Kingsbury between Erie and Ontario
from 2:00 am on July 17 to 11:59 pm on July 18, 2010. Vehicles parked in this
area during this period will be towed by CDOT.
