We are thrilled to announce that the ultimate summer festival was a smashing success!
TASTE OF RIVER NORTH
This was truly the best of everything in a classic neighborhood event, featuring River North’s spectacular restaurants and world renowned art and design scene.
More than 6,000 guests enjoyed two full days of fabulous food, great live musical entertainment, an array of local merchants and galleries, special attractions for kids and dogs, and much more...
...all in a green and beautiful riverfront setting!

Where: in the north and south sections of magnificent Erie Park, on Kingsbury between Ontario and Erie, and on Erie west of Kingsbury in River North

General Information
Thanks to our more than 6,000 attendees who enjoyed the festival safely and responsibly.
- Suggested donation is just $5.00 per guest. Proceeds support the RNRA.
- Tickets for all food and beverages are 10/$10.00 or 5/$5.00.
- Proof of age required for beer/wine purchase, please bring valid photo I/D.
- No one may enter or leave the festival carrying alcoholic beverages.
- The regular policy prohibiting dogs in the south section of the park remains in effect during the Taste. Dogs are welcome on Kingsbury, Erie, Larrabee and in the north section of the park, but must be leashed except when inside of the fenced Larrabee Dog Friendly Area.
- Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
- Help make the Taste of River North as "green" as possible, please consider walking, biking or taking public transportation to the event.
- If you must drive, inexpensive parking is available in the Chicago Tribune lot at 650 W Chicago Avenue, on the north side of Chicago just west of the River. There is a pay-as-you-go machine that will be programmed to accept $5.00 for 12 hours during the weekend of the Taste.

Additional public parking is available in the following nearby commercial facilities.
- Lot under the Ohio/Ontario feeder ramp on the east side of Kingsbury.
- Garage at the northeast corner of Larrabee and Chicago Avenue (4 blocks north).
- Garage in the Kingsbury Plaza building at the southwest corner of Grand and Kingsbury (2 blocks south).
- Lot at the southeast corner of Kingsbury and Illinois (3 blocks south).
- Lot at the northeast corner of Kingsbury and Hubbard (4 blocks south).
- Parking is Prohibited on Erie west of Kingsbury, on Larrabee south of Huron and on Kingsbury between Erie and Ontario from 2:00 am on July 18 to Midnight on July 19, 2009. Vehicles parked in this area during this period will be towed.
- Residents of 510 W Erie, and 645 and 653 N Kingsbury will need to enter through one of the three festival gates to access their buildings on foot during the event, although garage access will remain available (via Huron for 510 W Erie). We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience.
