RNRA MISSION
RNRA was established in 1997 to enhance the quality of life in River North by facilitating cooperation between residents, businesses and government; promoting responsible real estate development; improving infrastructure and amenities; and advocating for a safe and vibrant neighborhood.

The RNRA…
- Represents dozens of homeowners’associations and nearly 10,000 residents.
- Conducts reviews of planned real estate developments with recommendations and escalation of community concerns to Alderman Reilly and the Department of Planning.
- Keeps members informed through e-newsletters, community meetings and our popular website, which receives tens of thousands of visitors every year.
- Conducts annual forums to provide support, education and resources to new and existing members of local homeowners’association boards.
- Encourages the expansion and improvement of pubic green spaces.
- Hosts a free outdoor film festival each summer in Erie Park.
- Initiated a weekend street cleaning program to beautify the area, deter crime and provide training and jobs for at-risk individuals, all at no cost to residents.
- Conducts online surveys to solicit public input on necessary infrastructure repairs and improvements and many other important neighborhood issues.
- Provides financial and promotional support to charities serving the homeless, helping children and animals in need, and protecting the environment.
- Works with 18th District Police and CAPS officials to promote public safety initiatives.
- Partners with local businesses, city officials, police and regulators to improve residential quality-of-life near local liquor establishments.
